Our Chapter operates with the help of volunteers. Volunteers are primarily members of the Hillcrest-Marlow Heights Civic Association, students, parents and family members of scholarship recipients, community residents and friends, and participants of local churches.
We ask that students and parents participate in community service activities to assist with our projects and programs. The HMHCA Dollars for Scholars® Chapter seeks volunteers in several areas including fundraising, grant writing, publicity, board of directors, annual scholarship awards ceremony, annual community day festivities and technical support for communications.
HMHCA Dollars for Scholars® holds six to eight meetings (September through June) to plan and execute our Chapter's projects and programs. We hope that you will consider volunteering with our Chapter.
